MENTOR: Next generation joins the board
The third generation of the Weyer family has joined the management of MENTOR GmbH & Co. Präzisions-Bauteile KG. Dennis Weyer, son of managing partner Wido Wessel Weyer, was appointed to the board of management by shareholders of the Erkrath-based family company on 1.1.21.
With more than 700 employees, MENTOR, a specialist in LED-based lighting solutions, has achieved a leading position in Germany and on international markets. “Our goal is to consolidate this position and expand it consistently,” explained CEO Wido Weyer. “With this in mind, it was important for our family-run company to set the course for the future at the right time by transferring more responsibility to the next generation.”
Wido Weyer and Dennis Weyer will manage the MENTOR Group, which has sites in Germany, Tunisia, Poland, China and Thailand, together with technical and operations executives Wolfgang Mursch (CTO) and Thomas Hackethal (COO). Dennis Weyer, who has worked at the company for several years now, will also take charge of strategic corporate development in his new role, placing particular focus on expanding the company’s international locations and markets.
