New products: Light guides and signal lights: More versatile, compact and robust
Even more design and application options in the IP68 range
The demands placed on modern devices and systems are constantly increasing, not only in terms of functionality and miniaturisation, but also in terms of design integration, durability and customisability. To meet these developments, MENTOR is presenting a comprehensive expansion of its range of light guides.
The focus is on versatile front panel light guides in IP68 versions. The new components are characterised by high optical quality, robust construction, easy-to-install designs and sophisticated design, for example in the form of new head shapes.
The powerful signal light with RGB SMD LED completes the range for industrial applications. The compact, UV-stabilised housing is waterproof to IP68, particularly robust and available with either stranded wire connection or plug connector.
The additions enable developers to use light in a targeted manner as both a functional and design element. Whether in harsh industrial environments, inside technical devices or in compact electronic applications such as smart devices.

Available for IP68: the square head shape
Developed for applications with square light cut-outs, the light guides with square heads offer precise, flush integration into rectangular front panels and design layouts. And all without any visual breaks.
In addition, Mentor has developed IP68-capable light guides with square heads as robust light guides for housings up to IP68 – ideal for use in harsh environments, in mechanical engineering, in outdoor displays or for devices with increased protection requirements.

Round compact: flat head shape for more flush integration
The new ‘round compact’ head shape was specially developed for applications where a reduced structure is desired without compromising on light quality. With a flat curvature and reduced protrusion, this variant is almost flush with the front panel and ensures a discreet, modern look.
The head shape is available in IP20 and IP68 versions in various variants.

New IP68 signal light: RGB, robust & ready to connect
The new signal light combines high-quality RGB SMD LED technology with a robust, waterproof IP68 housing. Due to its size and the LEDs used, it is brighter than the existing lights in the portfolio. It is available ready for immediate connection, either with stranded wire connection or plug connector for 2×2 pin headers.
